The funeral took place on Friday 19th Feb at St Mary's Church Ipswich of Florence Dade [aged 95],widow of the late Brother Tom Dade ,known to many of our older brothers as Gk of Co 206  , GK of the "Third degree" team for Prov 27 and Provincial Secretary .Tom was a very active member at every level and a great support to our late PGK Victor Zagni .He and Florence were seen together at many of our social events ,pilgriamges etc.
Florence was active in her parish running the "Welcome " club until she was 85 and she and Tom often arranged holidays for their "Old Folks" many who were younger than they were .
Her funeral conducted by Mgr Peter Leeming was a joy to attend .She had asked for mourners to wear something yellow ,which most did ,the flowers were all yellow and even the funeral staff wore yellow buttonholes .The Church was full with her friends from the parish ,the EA Diocesan  President ,a past President , Chairman of the Ipswich section ,members of Ipswich & Felixstowe sections of the CWL   of which she had been an active member .The KSC was represented by seven Brothers with their wives .
A great example to all of us of a couple dedicated to serving the Church and their fellow  humankind .I know we will remember them in our Prayers and for Teresa Evelyn and her family in their sorrow .

Co 206 have recently re-started an idea we had several years ago ,which then included Green Shield stamps .

We collect unwanted spectacles [?] and postage stamps .We have an Optitian who takes the glass's [many do ] and many Charities will take the stamps . If you can't find someone bring them to Prov meeting .

Action
1     Contact all PPs in the area you can cover for permission to do this
2     Put notice in bulletins and repeat from time to time .
3     Arrange for someone to empty boxes regularly [does not have to be a KSC member]
4     Get shoe boxes [shops are glad to get rid of these]
5     Cut hole in top large enough to take spec cases
6     Type a notice for your unwanted specs and postage stamps collected by the KSC for overseas use and Charity shops

Sit back and wait for a pleasing result
Co 206 has collected hundreds of specs and thousands of stamps in the last 2/3 years.
